3rd Northern Moraine Spring Art Tour @ Throughout the County

The Plymouth Arts Center announces a premier event, the 3rd Northern Moraine Spring Art Tour, a celebration of the visual arts and the creative process. This exciting new event will take visitors on a self-guided tour of area private studios, galleries, and boutiques, throughout Sheboygan County. It offers an unique opportunity for visitors to personally meet fine artists in their studios, some of which will only be open to the public during this event.
The Spring Art Tour may include: demonstrations; exhibitions;  an opportunity to purchase fine artwork directly from the artists; and…… it’s a great time to learn about the artistic process, artist techniques and their source of inspiration.
This year the Spring Art Tour is a three day event. Fri.-Sat., June 2-3, 2017, 10am-5pm AND Sun., June 4, 11am-4pm.
Admission for the tour is free and open to the public.
The Northern Moraine Spring Art Tour was designed to increase the visibility of artists working and living in Sheboygan County and to encourage an appreciation for the role that artists play in the vitality of our communities. The tour will feature the works of over 35 artists working as printmakers, painters, potters, furniture makers, fiber artists, photographers, leather artists, glass artists, ironworkers, and more.  These artists reflect the amazing creative talent available right in our own communities.

“Memories” Celtic Folk Concert @ Plymouth Arts Center

The Plymouth Arts Center is proud to present “Memories” by Celtic Folk, a musical concert featuring traditional Celtic music and Americana from the 1900-1970’s. Celtic Folk is featuring the vocal talents of Tom Clegg, Cathy Eggert, Zachary Glaeser, Vicki Gravatt, Kerrylynn Kraemer-Mahlendorf, Scott Overby, Brian Stout, & Sarah Stout.  Celtic Folk is under the direction of Tom Clegg and Kerrylynn Kraemer with Janice Westphal, musical director, and Bill Johnston, technical director. Tickets are $12 PAC Members and $14 Non-Members + tax and are available by calling (920) 892-8409 or online at www.plymoutharts.org.  Mastercard and Visa are accepted

Color POP art exhibit opening reception

The Plymouth Arts Center proudly presents “Color Pop” a brand new Art Exhibit in Gallery 110 North. This vivid exhibit features artists Claudette Lee-Roseland and Jeanette Payne and will be on display from Friday, January 27, 2017 through Friday, March 17th. The public is invited to the opening reception on Friday, January 27 from 4:30pm to 7:30pm, and an Artist Talk from 4:30-5:00pm.  The exhibition is graciously underwritten by Sun Graphics/Justin and Kelly Webb and by Mr. Franz Backus. Live musical entertainment for the reception will be provided by Janice Westphal, piano from 5-6pm and Louise Mann, piano from 6-7pm. Admission to Gallery 110 North is always free.

A Wade House Christmas

Guests will experience the magic of a mid-19th-century Christmas celebration at the Wade House stagecoach hotel during December 2-3 as well as December 9-10. Event runs from 10 am to 4 pm. Yankee and German holiday traditions, including rooms bedecked with fresh evergreen garlands, period crafts and games for young and old, stories from yesteryear and horse-drawn wagon rides will make for a memorable experience.

The festivities continue in the new Wade House Visitor Center and Wesley W. Jung Carriage Museum, where seasonal decor, live music and live theatre will help to spread holiday cheer. On both days, food and beverages will be available at the Butternut Cafe, and live music will entertain guests.
