From the shores of Lake Michigan to the inland lakes and streams of Sheboygan County, watersports and recreation abound. Sheboygan’s Harbor Centre Marina offers boat enthusiast a full-service marina with over 280 boat slips. For the more adventurous, try your hand at sailing, fresh water surfing, or water skiing. Guided services are also available with Lake Michigan charter fishing; inland lake guided fishing and guided river kayaking.
Sheboygan is the Spirit on the Lake, and our favorite Lake Michigan personality is play time! Sure, she fights with us. She weeps with us. She competes with us. And sometimes she’s so downright stubborn, we have to tug our sailboats back to shore! But when she’s playful, stop whatever you’re doing and dance with her. You’ll never forget it!
If it’s a breezy day with winds in the range of 15 to 25 miles per hour, head over to the south beach by King Park. You’re likely to see some amazing kite surfers soaring along between wave and airlift action. On Wednesday afternoons, you can usually spy a few sailing matches, too. And if the winds really kick into a whirling splendor, head over to the North Pier at Deland Park. The surfers live for these moments. If you’re adventurous enough to haul your own motorboat or jet-skis to our shores, then grab the sunscreen and hit the boat launch, or check out our our first-class Harbor Centre Marina and stay a few days! If you’re driving in, hop on a charter fishing boat. You’re sure to take home either a trophy catch or some really great fish tales!
However you choose to Sheboygan, when it’s time for you to leave us, a part of you will always be with our Spirit on the Lake.
Playing in the crystal-clear water of Elkhart Lake is a great way to enjoy a summer’s day. Watersports at Victorian Village Resort offers top-of-the-line amenities, including water ski and wakeboard lessons that include instruction and competition. You’ll find ski/wakeboard boats, tubing, pontoon rentals, guided party boat rides, bumper boats, kayaks and stand-up-paddle board fun. Osthoff Resort Recreation Rentals offers pontoons and fishing boats, canoes, kayaks, paddle boats and paddle boards for use on the lake.
Enjoy a sunrise or sunset pontoon cruise with spectacular views from the lake. Resort guests and the general public are invited to play here daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day!
Experience the unique perspective of Elkhart Lake from lake level. Kayak, paddle, PFD, and basic skill orientation are included in a two-hour guided kayak tour. Daily tours are launched from Elkhart Lake’s public boat landing by appointment. Reserve your trip at $45 per person; $25 for children 12-15.
Book a getaway package with accommodations at the GrandStay, dinner at the fabulous Marguax and at the historical Stefanie H. Weill Center for the performing Arts.
