    Thu

    1. Levitt Amp Sheboygan Music Series: Michael Perry & the Long Beds
      6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Ranging from straight-up twang to churchly harmonies and populated by characters drawn straight from rural and small-town USA, Michael Perry’s music—variously categorized as roughneck folk, county folk or just plain Americana—brings home the goods.

Once converted from a barrier separating downtown entertainment and cultural organizations into a green, walkable space connecting these amenities, the site of the former Boston Store will become a welcoming destination able to host arts and cultural events, community gatherings and the Levitt AMP Sheboygan Music Series staged on M.I.K.E., a unique portable stage sculpted from a grain bin reflecting Sheboygan’s dedication to the arts.

Come early and get in on the many fun pre-concert activities such as hands-on art activities, printmaking with Drive by Press and dance lessons. Enjoy a family picnic on the lawn with selections from a variety of food trucks (including the fabulous Culinary Art Car) and whet your whistle with one of the beverage specials at the cash bar. Every week from 5 p.m. a different community organization from Sheboygan will be featured followed by opening and headlining music groups beginning at 6 p.m. It’s all free and family-friendly.

Presented by the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, a nonprofit art museum, in partnership with the City of Sheboygan and Sheboygan Squared.
