Coho Derby is 40!

By all accounts, 2010 appears to be a banner year when it comes to fishing the Port of Sheboygan.  Comments like “non-stop action” and “best fishing in years” have brought many to the area to try for the big one. With that in mind, the 40th Annual Sheboygan Coho Derby could be one of the best in memory.

Held on Saturday, August 14th and Sunday, August 15th along Sheboygan’s Riverfront Boardwalk, the Coho Derby regularly brings more than 1,000 participants to the piers and boat ramps of Sheboygan.

Always a crowd-pleasing favorite, this event draws spectators to check out the Leader Boards, the Big Fish Coolers and to enjoy bratwurst and entertainment.  This Sheboygan tradition is a “must see,” better yet, a “must fish.”

Hosted by The Wharf and the merchants of the Riverfront, prizes are awarded for the Tournament Super Derby, the Regular Derby and the Genuine Mechanics Progressive Pot. All proceeds are donated to Camp Y-Koda Outdoor Skills and & Education. For more information, please call Grace Brown at The Wharf, 920-458-4406.
